Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Automation Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for a recent graduate with a 2-year Associate of Applied Science degree in Automation and Engineering Technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in automation systems, troubleshooting, and PLC programming, with a particular focus on Allen-Bradley-Rockwell Controls. Responsibilities Assist with installation, calibration, and maintenance of automated machinery and control systems Program, test, and modify Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs to optimize system performance. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on automation equipment. Support the design and implementation of control systems for manufacturing and industrial processes. Work closely with senior engineers and technicians to diagnose and resolve system issues. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. Document maintenance activities and system modifications. Skills Basic knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and industrial maintenance principles Electrical experience including working with sensors, relays, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and high/low voltage systems Familiarity with E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) concepts and schematics reading Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical automation issues. Hands-on experience with industrial Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced industrial environment. Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Basic knowledge of robotic systems and motion controls.
Physical requirements and working conditions:
Regularly stands and frequently walks; uses hands to handle or feel objects; reaches; and communicates by talking or hearing. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Must consistently lift up to 25 pounds unassisted and regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to electrical shock risk. Work environment is usually loud. Must work in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat. • The Employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position. Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
