Job Description

Tokai Carbon helps build America every day and we're proud of it! As one of the world's largest and most recognized graphite electrode manufacturers, we power the industries that keep our country moving. To continue that mission, we're looking for dependable team members to join our Maintenance Department where safety, teamwork, and precision drive everything we do. This position is based at our Ozark, AR facility, with a starting hourly rate of $35.85. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for four quarterly bonus incentives and an additional annual bonus tied to overall business performance. The standard schedule follows a rotating 3-on, 3-off, 12-hour shift (7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.); however, scheduling may vary based on operational needs. JOB SUMMARY
Supports plant operations by insuring operation and accuracy of plant instrumentation and control systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Calibrate plant instruments and maintain the ISO system required for calibration. Modify plant instrumentation and controls as needed to meet changing requirements. Maintain/troubleshoot plant instrumentation and controls as needed to insure continuous, reliable operation. Keep plant management informed of all activities. Troubleshoot electrical components

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to read and utilize electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and drawings as required to install and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to solve practical problems and work within situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master Electrician or Industrial Maintenance Electrician License and Control System Technician Certification. Five years of instrumentation or electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment and/or two years of formal technical education from an accredited university or trade school. Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Software. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus. Demonstrated experience and proficiency with control systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and variable frequency drives with computer troubleshooting and digital electronics. Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing of electrical systems ranging from 24VDC - 24KVAC while safely working with electrical hazards using proper PPE. Demonstrated proficiency with instruments/tools - multimeter, megohmmeter, amp meter, powered hand tools, drill presses, hydraulic presses, and hydraulic jacks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, particularly WordExcel
