Job Description

American Kraft Paper Industries, a leader in the production of high-quality kraft paper, is seeking a motivated and dedicated Safety Coordinator to join our growing team. Process Control Technician Seeking experienced candidates who have a strong electrical, instrumentation, and process control background that includes "hands on" programming and troubleshooting. Essential Duties Candidate must be able to program, troubleshoot, and maintain Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers Must be able to program and troubleshoot human machine interface displays Must be able to troubleshoot electrical circuits Must be able to troubleshoot and replace instrument and control devices Must be able to troubleshoot and repair process control loops Ability to troubleshoot and maintain plant network systems Ability to diagnose/ test PLC and instrumentation problems, diagnose/test equipment to correct malfunctions and make improvements to accommodate new product and/or improve safety, operational quality, and productivity. Ability to change and develop PLC programs, read/write PLC logic across multiple versions Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of all Allen Bradley software, ability to create/edit HMI systems with factory talk ME/SE, Demonstrate basic understanding and ability to troubleshoot AB motion control systems, general electrical skills, troubleshooting equipment, wiring diagrams, etc. Interpret data, identify problems, and develop process control solutions Identify process control needs to accommodate new products and/or improve safety, operational, quality, productivity improvements. Ideal candidate should be able to program and troubleshoot DC and AC drives Must be able to read electrical loop sheets and elementary drawings Must be able to support day to day operations and maintenance Must be able to work with maintenance and operations team members to improve process system performance Must have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization Qualifications 2 to 4 years manufacturing experience (preferred) Minimum 3 to 5 years proven experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting Strong proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude What we offer Competitive base salary with bonus potential.
