Technician II (Electronics & Environmental) - Luke AFB, AZ - Immediate Openings!
Job Description:
Full-Time | Travel & Deployment Opportunities | Secret Clearance Eligible
Seeking experienced F-16 Electronics & Environmental (E&E) Technicians to support mission-critical maintenance on advanced fighter aircraft.
This role is hands-on troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair across electrical and environmental systems — not a basic maintenance position.
What You'll Do:
Troubleshoot and repair F-16 electrical and environmental systems
Diagnose faults in:
Power generation & distribution
Flight controls, lighting, fire detection
Communications, navigation, and avionics systems
Remove, repair, and install:
Wire harnesses, connectors, and LRUs
ECS systems (bleed air, air conditioning, oxygen systems)
Turbines, valves, and generators
Interpret technical orders (T.O.s), schematics, and wiring diagrams
Perform system testing using BITE equipment
Conduct calibration, disassembly, and reassembly of components
Support both line and heavy maintenance operations
Complete maintenance documentation and close discrepancies
Provide OJT and technical guidance to junior technicians
Required Qualifications:
USAF 5-Level (or equivalent) - E&E
5+ years hands-on
F-16 E&E
experience
Strong knowledge of:
Aircraft electrical systems
Environmental Control Systems (ECS)
Wiring and advanced troubleshooting
Experience with:
Technical Orders (T.O.s) / maintenance manuals
Diagnostics and fault isolation
Ability to work in high-tempo, mission-driven environments
Clearance & Access:
Must be eligible for Secret Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain Common Access Card (CAC)
Preferred:
USAF 7-Level (E&E)
Fighter aircraft maintenance background
Experience supporting line + heavy maintenance
Work Environment:
Lift up to 50 lbs
Work in confined spaces and elevated areas
Exposure to noise, chemicals, and aircraft systems
Operate in varying and extreme weather conditions
Travel & Deployment:
Travel required (domestic & international)
Must be willing to deploy overseas as needed
Additional Requirements:
Valid U.S. Passport (minimum 6 months validity)
Eligible for international work authorization / visas
Must meet all security and compliance requirements
