Job Title:
Senior Autonomous Test Technician Job Description The Senior Autonomous Test Technician supports test operations by performing the setup of fixtures, components, and machines for engineering tests required in the development or evaluation of components, systems, and machines. This role also involves participating in the construction and maintenance of test roads. Responsibilities Set up fixtures, components, and machines for engineering tests. Participate in the construction and maintenance of test roads. Assemble and disassemble machines. Diagnose and repair electrical system failures on machines. Read and interpret electrical schematics. Troubleshoot wiring harnesses, connectors, and circuits. Replace or repair sensors, switches, relays, and control modules. Verify continuity, voltage, and signal integrity using multimeters or diagnostic tools. Remove the engine from machines and disassemble major components such as heads, pistons, liners, turbos, and fuel systems. Lay out parts for engineering review and document wear, damage, or failure points. Essential Skills Mechanical skills including troubleshooting and repair. Experience with diesel mechanics. 3-5 years of experience in assembling and disassembling machines. 3-5 years of experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate's degree in a relevant technical field such as Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering. Equivalent knowledge and experience may be considered. Construction or mining maintenance experience is preferred. Previous experience operating haul trucks, loaders, dozers, graders, or other equipment. Work Environment The work is conducted at a proving ground located in Green Valley, which is a large facility housing several large mining trucks. The environment provides opportunities for career growth and learning in the field of large mining equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sahuarita, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
