Job Description

Summary/Objective Performs a variety of activities involved in the comparison of measurement devices of unknown accuracy to a measurement device of known accuracy to detect, correlate, and report any variations in the accuracy of the device being compared. Maintains a high degree of quality, meets quantity targets while following standards and procedures. Must work individually and as part of a team as required to achieve production, quality, and quantity goals. Performing repetitive work is essential.
Schedule/Hours:
2nd Shift - Monday-Thursday (4x10s) 2:00PM-12:30AM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform the operation of calibration using hydraulic or dead weight equipment. Assemble bases to load cells and install in test equipment. Review travelers for proper calibration testing. Print out of unit labels and certificates of calibration. Must be able to follow and complete various assembly operations. Should be able to set and use various torque wrenches. Should be able to work with computers. Work collaboratively in a team environment to complete discrete tasks Able to use fine motor skills to calibrate product Able to work with precision and follow standardized, existing procedures Able to work with a wide variety of hand and power tools Completes paperwork and moves work onto the next stage of production in a completed, accurate state Offers suggestions and improvements as they see them Releases all test data to the computer database
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school or GED equivalent Calibration is not required, training available if needed Some mechanical/technical skills needed Reading and verbal English communication skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will be in a production shop with heavy machinery.
