Engineering June 2026 Position Summary A leading company in the motion control and electronics manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced DVT Electrical Engineering Technician to support Design Verification Testing (DVT) for industrial motor drives and power electronics systems. This role focuses on testing, validating, and troubleshooting mixed-signal electronic systems, including power supplies and communication interfaces. The position plays a key role in ensuring product performance, reliability, and design integrity prior to release. Key Responsibilities Set up and prepare electronic assemblies for testing and validation Probe and measure electrical signals across a range of voltages and power levels Build and assemble cables and wiring harnesses Perform soldering and rework on SMT circuit boards Troubleshoot and characterize new hardware designs Execute test procedures to verify electrical design performance Perform thermal measurements, including thermocouple placement and profiling Collect, document, and organize test data for engineering review Collaborate with design engineers to refine test strategies and improve designs Provide technical feedback on product performance and test results Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience as an Electronics Technician or similar role Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, hipot testers, thermal tools) Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities Effective problem-solving and analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools Education Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field (or equivalent experience) Preferred Qualifications Experience with Design Verification Testing (DVT) Familiarity with communication protocols (RS-232, RS-485, CAN, Ethernet, EtherCAT) Experience with data acquisition systems and test automation Basic programming skills (C#, C++, VBA, or similar) Work Environment & Schedule Full-time, Monday-Friday Based in a Camarillo, CA engineering/lab environment Overtime may be required Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs Compliance Requirement This role is subject to U.S. export control regulations (ITAR) . Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents . Compensation $25 - $33 per hour Compensation is based on experience, skills, and market considerations.
