Job Description

Our client, a premier custom metal fabrication and manufacturing leader, is looking for a Control Technician to join their team in Escalon, CA . In this advanced role, you will be responsible for the high-level maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of complex automated control systems to ensure the facility's production requirements are met with maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced control components including photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, and encoders. Manage and repair complex systems such as servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI). Troubleshoot and maintain 3-phase AC power circuits (277-480V), 110V circuits, and low-voltage systems in strict compliance with safety regulations. Perform expert-level repairs on Robotic and CNC equipment, often performing tasks typically reserved for OEM service personnel. Maintain relay logic circuits and electro-fluid power systems while documenting all work, parts, and costs in the maintenance ticket system. Schedule and execute regular preventative maintenance on all production and facility equipment. Facilitate specialized training for less experienced technicians regarding Robotic and CNC repairs and programming. Coordinate directly with OEMs and parts suppliers for necessary repairs and equipment upgrades. Ensure proper identification, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with environmental regulations.
Requirements:
Advanced proficiency in troubleshooting complex industrial machinery and electrical principles. Extensive experience with 3-phase AC power (277-480V) and low-voltage control systems. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform high-level repairs on CNC and Robotic systems. Deep knowledge of control components such as solenoids, tachometers, and frequency inverters. Proficiency in using a wide range of hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment. Proven ability to interpret technical manuals and work effectively with OEM service requirements. Strong organizational skills for maintaining digital maintenance records and housekeeping standards. Leadership ability to provide technical guidance and training to junior maintenance staff.

Monday
  • Thursday (6:30 AM
  • 3:00 PM) and Friday (5:00 AM
  • 1:30 PM).
Swing Shift:
4/10 schedule (3:00 PM
  • 1:30 AM).
