Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of trucks. Your expertise will ensure our equipment operates efficiently and safely, supporting our mission to provide top-tier onsite services.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday from 1:30 pm-10:00 pmResponsibilities:
Vehicle Maintenance and Repair:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication. Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, and driveline components. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, sensors, and control modules. Diagnose, repair, and program fuel injectors and injection pumps. Perform complete valve adjustments to factory specifications following OEM procedures. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair DPF and DEF systems, including regeneration issues. Utilize intermediate to advanced diagnostic software skills to diagnose engine faults. Conduct brake system inspections, adjustments, and repairs. Inspect and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including hoses, fittings, and cylinders. Perform tire inspections, rotations, and balancing. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections. Diagnose and repair air brake systems, including air compressors, dryers, and valves.Basic Maintenance:
Tire mounting and dismounting, Tire audits and inspections Battery maintenance Lighting system repair Lubrication, and general shop equipment operationRoadside Assistance:
Respond to roadside breakdowns and perform necessary repairs according to skillset.Shop Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and technical advancements.Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Diesel Engine Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance & Repair, as well as Electrical System Repair, Brake Systems / Air Brakes, Computerized Diagnostics, PMI Inspection, and Tire Repairs Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong work ethic and attention to detail Welding experience is a plus CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred Valid California Driver's License Clean driving record required Must provide DMV K4 printout dated within the last 30 days when applying Applicant must have their own toolsTechnical Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems Experience with diesel engine repair and maintenance Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams Intermediate to advanced diagnostic software skills Experience in diagnosing, repairing, and programming fuel injectors and injection pumps Ability to perform precise Valve Adjustments to factory specificationsDPF and DEF System Knowledge:
