- OS2 Single-Mode Backbone Installation We are seeking experienced fiber optic technicians/installers for an upcoming single-mode backbone fiber installation project.
Scope of Work:
Installation of Tini FiberTF72-OS2-PLO900
72-strand single-mode fiber optic cable Rack and enclosure installation utilizing Leviton OPT-X 2000i SDX systems Fiber termination using LC/UPC fusion splice modules and pigtails Fusion splicing, fiber management, and organization Installation and routing of fiber patch cords Proper labeling of outlets using permanent, legible, or machine-engraved labels Testing shall be performed in compliance with Annex H ofTIA/EIA-568-B
Tests shall include the following information: A. Manufacturer's reel number B. Fiber type C. Manufacturer's part number D. Minimum bandwidth E. Maximum attenuation F. Traceable batch number G. Length of fiber on reelRequired Testing Includes:
OTDR testing at 1310nm and 1550nm End-to-end insertion loss testing (Tier 1 certification) End-face fiber certification perIEC 61300-3-35
Verification of fiber continuity and strand identificationTesting Equipment Requirements:
Optical fiber power meter and light source: Fluke Networks Versiv Kit CertiFiber Pro Optical Loss Test Set for Single-Mode or equivalentOTDR:
Fluke Networks OptiFiber Pro Single-Mode OTDR Module Optical fiber end-face inspection scope: Fluke Networks FI-7000 FiberInspector Pro Calibration certification must be provided for all testing equipment, including date and time stamp of calibration.Documentation Requirements:
All end-face certification test images shall be saved to a USB flash drive All OTDR traces shall be delivered on a USB flash drive with software required to read the OTDR trace files All power meter readings shall be provided in comma-delimited (.CSV) format capable of being imported into Microsoft Excel Power meter readings shall also be delivered on a USB flash driveRequired Experience:
Experience with single-mode fiber optic installations Fusion splicing experience required Familiarity with Leviton fiber systems preferred Must have the tools and testing equipment required to complete the jobProject Details:
