Join our close-knit veterinary specialty practice, Aggie Animal Dental Center , where you can positively impact the lives of dogs, cats, and the people who love them. We are a hard-working, fun-loving team, dedicated to providing 5-star service to our clients and unparalleled care for their pets. We have been the only dental specialty practice in Marin County for over 25 years, and we are proud to have set the standard for specialty dental care in the Bay Area. We are looking for a Kennel Attendant/Instrument Technician to join our team. This position is vital in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the practice. The other staff members rely on the instruments, kennels, exam room, waiting area, and treatment room area of the hospital to be clean, stocked, and organized at all times, making this a very important position.
Requirements:
Tasks include but are not limited to the following: Cleaning surgical instruments Cleaning wet tables and dental carts after procedures Cleaning kennels and cages Washing, folding, and restocking laundry towels and blankets Sitting with recovering patients Walking patients carefully outside Cleaning surgery tables between procedures Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instrument packs Making photo albums for clients with pets' dental images Assisting the veterinary technicians with patient care Collecting and taking out trash, recycling, and compost Restocking medical supplies as needed Restocking janitorial supplies as needed Vacuuming and mopping the practice floors at the end of day
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required Must have experience working in the public (ie: restaurant, retail or service business) Experience in a veterinary hospital or doctor's office is a plus Dependable attendance is required Must be able to lift 40 pounds The ability to walk, bend, squat, stand or reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day A professional appearance and demeanor that represents our first class medicine Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, able to return to tasks rapidly after interruptions
