You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of pump maintenance, from initial diagnostics and teardown to precision rebuilding and final performance testing, directly impacting our ability to meet critical customer demands. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive teardowns and diagnostics on various industrial vacuum pumps to identify root causes of failure. Execute precision rebuilding and reassembly of mechanical components to meet strict manufacturer performance standards. Maintain shop inventory by refurbishing units to a like-new condition for future deployment. Wire and configure single-phase and three-phase motors, ensuring all electrical connections are safe and accurate. Conduct rigorous operational testing to verify that repaired equipment meets or exceeds quality specifications. Uphold a high standard of shop safety by utilizing appropriate PPE and following established protocols for handling lubricants and machinery. Manage workflow efficiency to ensure rapid turnaround times for customer-submitted repairs. Qualifications Required Skills 3-5 years of professional experience in mechanical repair, maintenance, or assembly. Proven ability to operate shop equipment including drill presses, grinders, and belt sanders. Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and perform tasks while standing for extended periods. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to follow complex technical assembly instructions. Preferred Skills Direct experience with vacuum pump technology or rotating equipment. Demonstrated expertise in industrial electrical wiring and motor configuration. A proactive approach to troubleshooting and a commitment to continuous process improvement.
