Job Description

Positions advertised are in various organizations at Ames Research Center. NASA may fill positions at any grade level listed in this announcement (GS-0802 at the
GS-11/12
levels). Lead Engineering Technician positions may be filled from this announcement, grade level and full performance level will be dependent upon position selected for.
Qualifications:
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-11, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 level in the Federal service: Supporting operation or maintenance of facilities and labs under the supervision of team leads and engineering staff; Collaborating with engineering or technical staff to resolve issues. To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service: Supporting the coordination of work activities which may include fabricating and modifying test hardware, system outages, or maintenance schedules across teams, labs or facilities; Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in collaboration with engineering or technical staff. Your resume must include a clear and detailed narrative description, in your own words, of how you meet the required specialized experience.
