Dynamics Test Technician 2 Job Description The Dynamics Test Technician 2 plays a critical role in assisting mechanical engineers with the development and testing of mechanical and electromechanical engineering designs. This role involves drafting detailed drawings for fabrication, as well as devising, fabricating, and assembling new or modified mechanical components or assemblies. The technician is responsible for setting up and testing complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions, analyzing data, and recommending modifications to components or test procedures to meet desired specifications. Responsibilities Assist mechanical engineers in developing mechanical and electromechanical engineering designs. Draft detailed drawings for fabrication purposes. Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies. Set up and test complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions. Analyze test data and recommend modifications to components or test procedures to meet desired specifications. Essential Skills Experience with test plans, test benches, and test procedures. Proficiency in setting up tests using dynamics testing, whether environmental or dynamics-based. Strong assembly skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in mechanical and electromechanical engineering design development. Work Environment The role involves working with various mechanical components and assemblies, utilizing testing equipment under operational conditions. The work environment requires attention to detail and precision in drafting and assembling components. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxnard, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
