Job Description

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Bio-Medical Equipment Technicians to serve as lead specialists responsible for the full scope of preventive and corrective maintenance for advanced electronic medical, dental, and laboratory equipment essential to patient diagnosis and care. You'll serve as a go-to resource for staff, assign and review daily tasks, install and service diverse equipment, perform precise calibrations, collaborate closely with medical and laboratory teams, and support the reconciliation of supply-related charges. ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school. T o learn more about our hospital .
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process:
Incumbents must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history and education verification, as well as a job-related physical exam and drug screening.
Work Schedule:
Weekend, holiday and after-hours on-call availability is required on a rotating basis.

Experience :
Three (3) years of experience repairing major medical life support equipment and/or diagnostic equipment such as patient monitoring systems, ventilators, and infusion devises in an acute care hospital.
Substitution:
Successful completion of an accredited bio-medical equipment technician training program may be substituted for up to one (1) year of required experience. Candidates with five (5) years of hospital experience which includes ventilators and other life support equipment and specialty experience in Medical Imaging, Physical Therapy. In addition, experience installing centralized patient monitoring systems and networking devices is highly desired.
