Job Description

Laser Tracker Operator / Composite Technician Job Summary We are looking for a Laser Tracker Operator / Composite Technician to support inspection, alignment, and quality checks in a production environment. You will use laser trackers and metrology tools to measure parts and assemblies and ensure they meet engineering and quality standards. This is a long-term contract role with a strong chance to become permanent. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate laser tracker systems to measure parts and assemblies Perform alignment, fit-up, and dimensional inspections Read engineering drawings and GD&T to verify tolerances Support first article, in-process, and final inspections Create clear inspection reports and share results with engineering and quality teams Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment Assist with identifying and resolving quality issues Work with composite tools, fixtures, and bonded assemblies Required Skills & Experience 3-5 years of experience using laser trackers in a shop or production environment Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings Experience with inspections using laser trackers or CMMs Ability to work independently with high attention to detail Comfortable working in a shop, clean room, or warehouse setting Preferred Qualifications Experience with Verisurf or similar metrology software Aerospace industry experience Knowledge of composite manufacturing processes and tooling Experience handling composite materials and tools Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs High school diploma or GED Work Environment & Schedule Hands-on shop and production environment Occasional work in clean rooms and warehouse areas 9/80 work schedule First shift: approximately 6:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. Why Join Us? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
