Electronics Maintenance Technician Fidelity Technologies Corporation - 3.7 San Diego, CA Job Details Full-time 4 hours ago Qualifications English Windows Driver's License Windows support Full Job Description Fidelity Technology Services LLC is looking for an experienced Electronics Maintenance Technician to join our professional team at MCAS Yuma, Arizona providing support to the Marine Aviation Weapon and Tactics Squadron One.
General Description:
The Electronics Maintenance Technician will work at the Marine Aviation Weapon and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1) and will perform maintenance on the Audio, Video, Presentation, Cable and Computer related apparatuses, computer/processors, classrooms or any similar duties as directed by the supervisor. Typical duties (non-inclusive): The (MAWTS-1) Electronics Maintenance Technician will set-up classrooms, initialize and prepare 'presentation systems' including startup and shutdown procedures; maintain system logs; perform preventive-maintenance and troubleshooting of the systems, interfaces, networks, connectivity, and assist with correcting all deficiencies. On an ongoing basis, the Technician will safely perform organizational and preventive-maintenance on projectors, tablets, computers, network switches/routers, audio devices, video systems, assist with installation of new systems, research and propose solutions to deficient systems, run long stretches of cable, mounting monitors and other electronic devices as instructed, etc. The Technician will perform additional duties as directed and learn new systems when required. The Technician will keep shift supervisor and/or site manager appraised of device's status and any on-going logistics efforts. S/He will perform inventories as required; perform janitorial services on assigned spaces; and will work mornings, evenings and some weekends as specified by the customer.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Proficiency in Windows operating systems (OS). 2 years of experience in Electronics Maintenance; OR Electronic Component troubleshooting and repair; OR Computer Network troubleshooting and repair; OR graduation from a two-year Electronics Technician course at an accredited technical institute or college; OR any education and experience that demonstrates the candidate's ability to work in a highly technical environment and perform the duties required. Current CompTIA A+ certification (or equivalent) or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. Ability to obtain and retain a SECRET DoD Clearance through a security investigation.
Desired Qualifications:
5 years of Electronic Maintenance Experience, preferably in an Audio/Video integration capacity AND one or more of the following certifications: A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, or an Associate's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field. Active SECRET or higher clearance.
Additional Requirements:
Requires mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English. Physical ability to walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb 2 flights of stairs. Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds. Must present a professional appearance in demeanor and dress at all times. The applicant must be a US citizen and must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Ability to work a flexible and dynamic schedule with minimal notice. Applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to receive and retain a SECRET clearance for access to classified information.
