Senior Electrical Automation Technician Currier Plastics - 3.1 San Jose, CA Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $80,000 a year 14 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications PLC-based control system operation Ladder logic (LD) Sensors Full Job Description Summary We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Electrical Automation Technician with strong engineering capability to support automation, controls, robotics, and machine vision projects. This role is ideal for someone who can do more than basic technician work, someone who can troubleshoot independently, improve systems, support PLC and vision programming, build panels, create wiring diagrams, and work closely with engineering to develop and upgrade automated equipment. The right candidate should be comfortable working directly on machines, solving problems on the floor, and contributing ideas like an engineer while staying hands-on with wiring, sensors, PLCs, cameras, actuators, and automation systems. Essential Job Functions Support programming, debugging, and optimization of PLC systems (Keyence) Assist with integration and setup of sensors, actuators, and other automation components Support and develop machine vision systems (Keyence and Cognex) Perform low-voltage (24V DC) wiring and electrical panel work Read and create wiring diagrams and schematics Assist with documentation, including work instructions, schematics, and validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) Follow company safety standards and support compliance with manufacturing and quality requirements •Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor of an employment Visa at this time . Requirements Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Pannel wiring Basic PLC programming and ladder logic knowledge Familiarity with industrial sensors (e.g., Keyence, Sick) Understanding of basic electrical systems, including 24V DC circuits Preferred Experience Experience with machine vision systems Exposure to robotics or automated handling systems Benefits Standard Health, Dental, Vision Benefits.
