Participants gain in-depth knowledge in reliability testing, high-voltage electrical systems, diagnostics, mechanical fabrication, and safety protocols through a blend of theoretical instruction, hands-on labs, and practical exercises. This non-exempt position offers full pay and benefits as a Tesla Engineering Technician Trainee, with successful graduates transitioning to a full-time Engineering Technician role upon completion. What You'll Do Engineering Technician Support reliability validation and testing of components, systems, and vehicles in lab and manufacturing environments Execute environmental, mechanical, and electrical stress testing using chambers, shaker tables, and other test equipment Perform detailed failure analysis and reporting, including high-quality photography, documentation, and corrective action recommendations Conduct instrumentation setup, data acquisition, sensor calibration, and data visualization for test programs Assemble, maintain, and troubleshoot test equipment and fixtures Safely service and diagnose high-voltage electric vehicle systems, adhering to proper deactivation procedures and using HV PPE Perform electrical diagnostics, wire harness repair, soldering, crimping, and PCBA rework on low- and high-voltage systems These are general job descriptions and may not reflect the complete or exact job description and/or requirements of the position(s) for which you may be considered.
