Lab Technician - Electronic Assemblies (On-site, Sunnyvale, CA) (Sunnyvale, CA, 94089) | 05/15/26 Easy Apply Share Job Job Description Lab Technician - Electronic Assemblies (On-site, Sunnyvale, CA) We are looking for a Lab Technician for a large, global B2B high-tech company. In this role, you will act as an Maintaining/repairing lab equipment when issues arise. This is a 12-month contract project (Extension Possible), 40 hours per week, on-site role in Sunnyvale, CA. This is a W2 employee of Stage 4 Solutions. Health benefits and a 401K are offered. If needed, provide support to remote partners. Some domestic/international travel may be needed.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate maintaining/repairing DVT chambers. Upgrading and tracking lab infrastructure. Maintaining and updating lab process and policies and procedures. Supporting technician for the manufacturing Test Engineering lab. Assembling, testing, verifying, troubleshooting and reworking of prototypes. Assembling, testing, verifying and troubleshooting of test fixtures, cabling and adapters. Performing Failure analysis support for contract manufacturers as well as for field organizations. Assisting various lab management duties including installation of systems/assemblies and procurement of lab supplies. Operating thermal test chamber, loading products under test, monitoring and supporting users. Performing all job functions in adherence to TL9000 practices.
Requirements:
3+ year experience on Lab equipment calibration, including budget and PO. 3+ year experience asset tracking, budget planning, lab process and policies 3 years of experience in similar role working on complex electronic assemblies. Strong knowledge of basic electronics, digital, and analog theory is required. Excellent Failure Analysis troubleshooting skills of complex circuitry to the component level is required. Excellent solder rework skills, including fine pitch SMT components is required. Proficiency with use of power and hand tools to include drills and wire crimping tools, for pins, connectors, lugs, etc. Proficiency with usage of test and debug equipment including oscilloscopes, various meters, power supplies, boundary scan tools, component programming software & equipment, and inspection equipment including high magnification microscopes & cameras. Well versed in UNIX, Linux, Windows and Microsoft Office, Adobe usage. Familiar with Document Control, Allegro viewing, schematics, BOMs, ECOs, etc. Knowledge of Agile is a plus. Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, balancing workload and priorities while ensuring timely completion of projects on schedule. Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. and some heavy material lifting may be required. AS in Electronics or equivalent required.
