Job Description

Job Overview Overview We are seeking a skilled Fiber Drop Installer to join our team. Duties include Installing Fiber Optics drops from fiber terminals to customers' homes and businesses. The ideal candidate will have experience with installing Fiber Optic cabling, aerial experience, and working on telecommunications lines. Place of work will vary within the Inland Empire. We are looking for hard working individuals to cover Victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley, Adelanto and occasionally Barstow, Palmdale and San Bernardino. Work location will differ from day to day. If you are detail oriented and enjoy working independently, we would like to hear from you. Applicant must provide their own van-truck-or Suv plus the tools necessary to complete the job. Requires 28ft fiberglass ladder 1099 work (independent contractor) | Responsibilities Install fiber optic cabling both aerial and underground. Test and analyze fiber optic networks for performance and efficiency Work with hand tools to complete installations Collaborate with service technicians to address customer needs promptly Ensure all work adheres to industry standards and safety regulations
Required Skills:

Qualifications Proven experience in field service roles involving telecommunication or construction environments. Strong knowledge of fiber splicing techniques and fiber optic cabling standards. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks and power tools safely and efficiently. Familiarity with schematics, network infrastructure diagrams, and electrical wiring principles. Physical capability to climb ladders or poles regularly; comfortable working at heights in various weather conditions. Basic understanding of computer networking concepts including LAN, Ethernet, low voltage wiring, and telephony systems. Prior experience with electrical systems or electrical work is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to follow technical instructions precisely.
