Job Profile Experience in engine, vehicle, or facility maintenance, repair, and diagnostic troubleshooting Experience with Horiba, AVL, and California Analytical Exhaust gas measurement system (Desired but not required) Ability to approach problems in a scientific manner and implement resolutions with minimal guidance Skilled use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel Effective at communicating operational issues and test quality issues to engineers and managers Duties Calibrating, verifying and maintaining all related automotive instrumentation (dynamometer, emissions analyzers, Temperature/pressure transducers and other emissions related equipment) in accordance to the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and ISO standards Perform data quality checks on calibrated instrumentation Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment Test pipe's, joints, or connections for leaks using a pressure gauge, snoop, or other leak decay methods Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts Reassemble and test equipment following repairs Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions Responsible for commissioning new equipment, developing necessary training materials for related staff employees Follow documented procedures to properly execute calibration of instrumentation equipment Responsible to become proficient at using calibration automation systems Setup data channel configurations for the instrumentation equipment Responsible to work with engineering and technician staff to revolve all issues Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of all necessary facility equipment Keeping up with critical inventory (Compressed gas cylinders, Swagelok, analyzer parts and more) Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for repairing or assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components Maintain system logs or manuals to document testing or operation of equipment Provide customer support and education, working with users to identify needs, determine sources of problems, or to provide information on product use Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned Required Skills High level of integrity, ethics, and drive towards customer service with strong poise, tact, and diplomacy Basic understanding of low voltage circuits with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise Strong orientation towards teamwork Strong Verbal & Written Communication skills Desire to work in rapidly changing and results' oriented environment High ability to manage time to prioritize competing tasks and demands being able to successfully resolve them Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of facilities equipment and systems Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models Knowledge of principles and processes for providing services such as needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of satisfaction Able to use motorized equipment to move vehicles and materials Able to bend, squat, lift to 50 lbs. stand or sit for up to two hours Use basic hand and power tools to maintain laboratory equipment Use a Windows based computer including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and custom software Able to read and interpret data to participate in data quality review and Management System requirements, disposes of, or directs the disposal of, waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner and in compliance with all waste transportation and disposal regulations and requirements Reports all incidents (actuals and near misses) in accordance with the Incident Reporting requirements Uses all equipment (including safety equipment) in the manner intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to supervisor Maintain a safe and tidy worksite Maintains awareness of hazards and proposes controls to supervisor, HSE Representatives or relevant contact Actively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by management
