Engineering Technician

Description Maintain and calibrate laboratory space and laboratory equipment, including the purchase of lab consumables and tools and ensure safety of the laboratories. Will work with contamination control engineering on incoming inspection of parts and cleaning and processing parts. Support engineering staff by assisting with coordinating labs with building facilities and staff to support maintenance, upgrades, equipment delivery ect. with all relevant parties. Candidate will build and test harnesses and boards, including NASA crimping and wiring, NASA staking and conformal coating. Skills Troubleshooting, Electronics, Test equipment, Soldering, schematic, Mechanical, Oscilloscope, Assembly Top Skills Details Troubleshooting,Electronics,Test equipment,Soldering,schematic Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Combination of 1+ years of related work experience with an Associate's degree. 2+ years of related work experience for those without an Associate's degree. Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer skills, e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Basic familiarity with SolidWorks, LabView or ability to be trained on basic technician functions of LabView and SolidWorks. Ability to work with setup and usage of standard laboratory test equipment, other measurement equipment, hand tools and power tools. Ability to build engineering level cables, adaptors, assemblies and boards and perform engineering level soldering tasks. Ability to understand mechanical and electrical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and manuals; Familiarity with standard lab test equipment including: oscilloscopes, voltmeters and other measurement equipment to perform engineering support functions. Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Boulder, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
