Experience is a plus but not required in the areas of: Fiber Optic placement, Fiber Optic Splicing, Testing, and Termination. Starting wage is $18.50+ depending on experience, work history, and life skills. Raises are performance based. The Fiber Optic Splicer Apprentice will assist their assigned Fiber Splicer in day-to-day operations growing their knowledge on print reading, color/number coding, & case prep/splicing as well as placing fiber. They will help not only at the job site but also in the yard performing maintenance to equipment and tooling.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Prep Trucks/Trailers every morning before the crew departs the yard for jobsite. Clean Trucks/Trailers when units are complete for the day and return to the yard. Assist Fiber Splicer in placing fiber, cable preps, case preps, splicing, & completing splice case locations with final testing.

Actively learn on the following:

Color/Number Code, Cable sizes, Construction basics, & Safety Basics.

Physical Requirements:
