Job Description:
Entry level light technical, light clerical position, assisting in In house calibration of construction material testing equipment, primarily nuclear moisture/density determining gauges.
Technical duties include:
gathering data to calibrate equipment to meet
ASTM/AASHTO
standards.
Light clerical/customer service duties include:
Answering phone/emails; checking in equipment; preparing paperwork (repair orders, logging inventory, leak test certificates); contacting clients about completed work; scanning and sending paperwork to accounting for processing. Can also be trained on how to service and repair gauges and other construction material testing equipment ( includes learning soldering through hole and surface mount boards, reading schematics and wiring diagrams, circuit troubleshooting).
Requirements:
HS diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent education. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office 365 software. Ability to lift 50-90 lbs. Willingness to work with low level, sealed, radioactive materials.
Technical Duties:
Assist in calibration of nuclear density/moisture gauges. Generate calibration and leak test reports for above equipment to be reviewed by lead technician. Assisting in quarterly site surveys, annual audit and tracking badge services for radiation program.
Light office duties:
Answering phones: Answering client questions or directing to appropriate personnel as needed. Preparing shipping documents of customer equipment/parts orders or company equipment as directed. Checking in/out customer equipment. Informing customers when equipment is ready for pickup or shipping. Process repair/service orders to billing department, reconciling invoices. Record keeping - filing finished paperwork; shipping and receiving paperwork; calibration reports. Keeping office appearance professional. Full-Time Benefits (after 30 days of employment) Accrued sick time: 40 hours/year
