Design Technician III

Design Technician III supporting product development through 3D CAD design, prototype modification, testing, and design-for-manufacturing improvements.

Job Requirements:

Experience with 3D CAD design using Creo or SolidWorks Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements Experience building, assembling, and modifying prototypes Experience executing mechanical and functional testing on components and assemblies Ability to document test methods, results, and observations accurately Advanced understanding of design for manufacturability and design for assembly Experience with lab equipment such as force gauges, torque tools, and environmental testing equipment Understanding and application of GD&T Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Experience in regulated environments such as medical device or aerospace Familiarity with PLM systems or document control processes

Job Responsibilities:

Design components or portions of systems and modify existing designs to improve products and support manufacturing and field service operations Create and revise models and drawings using CAD software such as Creo or SolidWorks Coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, materials, and planning teams Support ease of manufacture, material availability, and contractual specification requirements during design work Build, assemble, and modify prototypes Execute mechanical and functional testing on components and assemblies Document test methods, results, and observations Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot design issues Support design verification and validation activities

Pay:
