The Building People, LLC seeks a Security Pro (Electronic Security Technician) to install, maintain, and repair electronic security systems at government facilities. This includes closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, alarm systems, and access control hardware. The Security Pro performs wiring, programming, and testing of electronic security equipment; configures and programs Internet Protocol (IP)-based systems and access control panels; conducts risk assessments; troubleshoots connectivity, wiring, and equipment faults; and provides end-user training on system operation. Work requires physical comfort in confined spaces and at heights, and often requires use of ladders. Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government. Required Experience & Skills Demonstrated knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, networking, and security software Proficiency reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for security systems Experience installing cameras, motion detectors, door sensors, and backup batteries Proficiency programming IP-based security systems, access control panels, and Network Video Recorders (NVRs) Experience troubleshooting connectivity issues, wiring faults, and broken equipment Ability to conduct risk assessments and provide end-user training on security system operation Physical comfort working in tight spaces and at heights, using ladders as required All personnel must obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Level 3) security clearance. Preferred Experience & Skills Experience performing electronic security work at federal government facilities or similarly high-security environments Familiarity with federal physical security standards and government access control systems Prior experience with CompTIA Security+ or manufacturer-specific security system credentials Required Education High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED); or equivalent combination of technical training and directly relevant experience Certified Alarm Technician (CAT) Level 1 from the Electronic Security Association (ESA) or other recognized credentialing body (required) Preferred Education Associate's degree or vocational/technical training in electronics, security systems, information technology, or a related field CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent manufacturer-specific credential
