Job Description

Automation Systems Technician Two openings available: Day shift - Monday thru Friday (8.5 hour days) Night shift - 12hr./day scheduled (3-2-2) A growing industrial services organization is expanding its on site automation support team and is seeking a skilled Automation Technician to help keep critical facility systems operating at peak performance. This is a hands on role for someone who enjoys solving complex equipment issues, partnering closely with site operations, and making a visible impact on uptime, reliability, and day to day production. You will work across a broad mix of automated equipment and electromechanical systems in a fast moving environment where strong troubleshooting ability and professional communication are highly valued.

Focus:
  • Maintain, inspect, and repair automated equipment used in an active industrial setting
  • Perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and root cause analysis to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
  • Diagnose electrical and controls issues involving 480V, 240V, 48V, and 24V systems
  • Troubleshoot and support robotics, conveyor systems, dock and door equipment, racking systems, and other material handling assets
  • Work on mechanical components such as gearboxes, chains, sprockets, and related drive systems
  • Use schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment history to identify failures and recommend lasting corrective actions
  • Document completed work accurately, communicate status clearly, and help coordinate follow up service activity when needed
  • Serve as a strong on site partner by building trust with operations personnel and delivering responsive customer facing support
Skill Set:
  • 3 to 5 or more years of automation maintenance or automation troubleshooting experience
  • Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting background, including 480V, 240V, 48V, and 24V systems
  • Experience supporting automated equipment such as robotics, conveyors, dock and door systems, racking, and material handling equipment
  • Solid mechanical troubleshooting ability with gear trains, chain driven systems, and related equipment
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage priorities in a live production environment
  • Strong communication, relationship building, and customer service skills
  • Comfort using technology for service documentation and work tracking
  • Must own personal tools Preferred Background
  • Allen Bradley PLC experience
  • Experience using JIRA or similar work management systems
  • MIG, TIG, or Arc welding experience
Pay:
$35.00 - $43.00 per hour
