Overview Join our dynamic team as a Fiber Splicer and become a vital part of building and maintaining cutting-edge telecommunication networks! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and splicing fiber optic cables to ensure fast, reliable connectivity for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality network infrastructure that powers today's digital world. Duties Perform fiber optic splicing using fusion splicing techniques to connect fiber cables with precision and accuracy Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, cranes, and power tools safely to access installation sites at various heights and locations Install and maintain telecommunication cabling, including low voltage wiring, Ethernet (LAN), WAN connections, and telephony systems Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and network infrastructure blueprints to ensure proper installation and troubleshooting Climb poles, ladders, or structures safely while adhering to all safety protocols during construction or maintenance activities Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cable termination, connectorization, and testing of fiber links Conduct network testing with specialized equipment to verify signal integrity and troubleshoot issues related to fiber splicing or cabling Document work progress accurately through detailed reports and update network schematics as needed Experience Proven experience in field service roles involving telecommunication or fiber optic installation and maintenance Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as bucket trucks or cranes in construction or utility environments Skilled in fiber splicing techniques including fusion splicing with attention to detail for optimal signal quality Knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN (Local Area Network), Ethernet, WAN (Wide Area Network), and low voltage systems Familiarity with schematics, electrical wiring standards, and network infrastructure layouts Ability to work at heights by climbing poles or structures safely while following all safety guidelines Strong background in electrical experience or related construction fields is highly desirable Join us in delivering reliable connectivity that transforms communities!
