Based on experience LAMdeck is growing and looking for an experienced Marine Technician with strong knowledge of 12V marine audio, electronics, wiring, and installation . We specialize in custom marine decking, JL Audio systems, Garmin electronics, lighting, and boat upgrades. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in clean installs, understands boats, and can work independently in a fast-paced marine shop environment. Responsibilities The Marine Technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and servicing marine audio and electronics systems, including: 12V marine wiring and electrical diagnostics JL Audio amplifier, speaker, subwoofer, and head unit installation Garmin, Simrad, and other marine electronics installation NMEA 2000
network setup and troubleshooting Battery systems, switches, breakers, fuses, relays, and charging systems LED and underwater lighting installation Custom switch panels, accessory wiring, and clean wire management Diagnosing electrical issues and recommending proper repairs Assisting with custom boat upgrade projects Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional workspace Communicating clearly with team members and customers when needed Ideal Candidate The right person for this role should have: Experience with 12V marine or automotive electrical systems Experience installing marine stereo systems and amplifiers Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow manufacturer instructions Strong troubleshooting skills Attention to detail and pride in clean, professional installations Ability to work on boats in a shop or outdoor environment Reliable transportation and good work ethic Own basic tools preferred Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team Preferred Experience These are not required, but are a plus: JL Audio marine installation experience Garmin marine electronics experience NMEA 2000
knowledge or certification Experience with trolling motors, battery banks, chargers, and switches Experience with fiberglass, fabrication, or custom panel work Previous marine dealership, audio shop, or boatyard experience Physical Requirements This position may require: Working in and around boats Bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tight spaces Lifting marine batteries, equipment, and tools Working in warm Florida shop conditions Maintaining safe work practices around electrical systems and power tools About LAMdeck LAMdeck is a fast-growing marine customization company located in Edgewater, Florida .
