Completes required repairs by aligning or upgrading software, burning-in, and testing (Final Check Out) of Returned Goods. Repairs and documentation must be in compliance with regulatory requirements. Primary objective is to complete repairs in a timely manner to reduce turnaround time and improve customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze Returned Good customer feedback/complaint and compare symptom to alleged product failure Perform troubleshooting to component level as necessary to determine failure Provide failure analysis information to Engineering to support root cause investigation as necessary Provide estimates of repair cost for customer quote as necessary Route repairs to Production as appropriate Complete repair/upgrade as necessary/appropriate Complete burn-in, Final Checkout, and safety testing as required Update repair/complaint and device history records as required Maintain product change history file for reference of applicable engineering changes effecting repaired products. Perform Oracle Transactions (Verify Service Request, Comment on Serviceable items, review quoted cost to determine if higher authorization is needed and if work can be performed within the quoted cost.
Experience:
Two years' experience in electronic/mechanical assembly and soldering experience within the past 12 months. Electronic Technician or Repair Technician experience preferred. AA/AS Degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent experience preferred. Must be able to perform work at a workbench height of 37.5
- 42", sit and stand as necessary, move about, bend, stoop, use hands and lift up to 40 lbs periodically as needed.
