We are seeking a skilled Fiber Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and fiber optics, with hands-on experience in fiber splicing and low voltage cabling. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team to ensure the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic systems. The Fiber Technician will be responsible for delivering high-quality service to our clients while adhering to safety standards and best practices. Duties Perform fiber splicing and termination on various types of fiber optic cables. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and related telecommunications equipment. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters for testing and diagnostics. Execute low voltage cabling installations in compliance with industry standards. Provide field service support, including responding to service calls and conducting site surveys. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during service calls. Experience Proven experience as a service technician in the telecommunications industry is preferred. Familiarity with fiber splicing techniques and low voltage cabling practices is essential. Experience working with Cisco routers and other networking equipment is a plus. Strong understanding of telecommunication systems and field service operations. Ability to work effectively in various environments, including outdoor settings and confined spaces. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
