Pre-Owned Triage Service Technician

GENERAL JOB

DESCRIPTIONAs a Club Car Pre-Owned Triage Service Technician, each day will bring new opportunities, but you will always be involved in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing golf cars and utility vehicles in different environments and under varying conditions. These mechanical and electrical repairs will be conducted on cars that company assets. You will be responsible for coordinating all activities with the local manager.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND

RESPONSIBILITESWork with Team Leader and others as required to schedule and coordinate work activitiesTest and evaluate pre-owned inventory upon returnResponsible for taking charging readings of the cars and diagnosing/addressing issues with the electrical systemMaintain detailed records on each units conditionEnsure assets are staged in proper triage areasMaintain and ensure proper charging rotation of critical assets is completedFile and follow up on warranty ordersHandle all paperwork or electronic documents related to the job including but not limited to work orders, parts orders and quotes for repairOperate and maintain Company provided vehicle in a safe manner at all timesFollow and obey all local, state or federal rules and regulationsInspect, test and repair all Club Car vehicles according to original manufacturers instructionsPerform routine maintenance as needed on vehiclesRead electrical wiring diagrams and troubleshooting flowchartsSupport all pre-owned sales initiativesAlways maintain Company and personal tools in good operating conditionInteract daily with sales team leadership and effectively communicate service and repair needsRead, understand and follow complex service and warranty processes and changesThis role will be primarily located at the Appling CCDC, but you may be expected to travel and cover remote storage locations from time to timeOther duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Education:

High School Diploma/Equivalent Experience:

2+ years of mechanical knowledge and experience repairing electric and gas-powered vehicles. Experience keeping accurate inventory of parts and toolsPrevious golf car repair experience is preferredMust possess a valid drivers license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:

DUI and Hit & Run in the previous 5 yearsLicense Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 5 years KEY COMPETENCIESAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsMust be able to read, write, and effectively communicate in EnglishShould be comfortable with using a computer, and iPad/Android devices, software, and applicationsExpected to provide standard toolsAbility to lift up to 75 pounds waist high with frequent lifting, twisting, bending, squatting and turningExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers, verbal and writtenDirect Customer facing experience. Willingness and ability to work closely with othersAbility to work independently with little or no supervisionAdaptable to work, environment and process changesMust follow and adhere to all Club Car Policies and ProceduresOut-of-town travel/overnight may be requiredOvertime is frequently required, as well as weekend/holiday coverage

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
