Job Description

We are seeking a experienced and hardworking Fiber Splicer to join our team. This is a traveling, field-based position requiring weekly out-of-town work. The ideal candidate will have previous fiber splicing experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. This is not a sit-down job•it requires teamwork, flexibility, and a commitment to safety and quality work.
Schedule Typical work week:
Monday•Thursday/Friday We strive to keep weekends and holidays off whenever possible but some weekends/ holidays may be required depending on project needs Current work locations Jefferson County, GA Athens, GA Birmingham, AL (on occasion) Pay Structure (1099-NEC) Commission-Based Pay•Paid Weekly This position is paid on Net 28 terms. Applicants should be prepared for a 28-day processing period before the first payment is issued Most splicers earn well over $3,000 per week — the harder you work, the more you make. Earnings are based on production and experience Responsibilities Perform fiber splicing in aerial and/or underground environments Read and interpret prints, maps, and splice documentation Test and troubleshoot fiber optic connections Maintain accurate job records and documentation Follow all safety procedures and customer requirements Work efficiently as part of a crew to complete projects on schedule Operate job-related equipment and vehicles as needed Requirements 1+ year fiber splicing experience preferred Experience in RDOF or BAU work Must be willing to travel weekly Reliable transportation required Clean driving record required Must be a team player with a positive attitude Must be flexible and adaptable•work environment is fast-paced and changes often Must be flexible with work hours when needed Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
Benefits:
On-the-job training $500/week while training, until you are billing on your own. Housing/hotel provided until first check is received Opportunities for advancement Will provide all necessary equipment for the job.

$2,000.00•$6,000.00 per week
