Industrial Automation Maintenance Technologist Alcon USA Johns Creek, GA 30097 Your mission: keep innovation moving Imagine walking a high‑tech production floor where every calibrated motion contributes to better vision for patients worldwide. That's the impact you'll have at Alcon in Johns Creek, GA. As an Industrial Automation Maintenance Technologist, you'll be a trusted guardian of equipment performance—bridging mechanics, electrics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and controls to ensure stable output, high yield, and consistent quality. What success looks like You rapidly isolate faults, execute preventive and corrective maintenance, and partner with production to resolve tough issues. You restore worn parts to "as‑built" condition in our repair shop to drive cost avoidance, help modernize assets through retrofits and upgrades, and contribute to SOP/shop instruction updates. You'll also assist with validation protocols and champion maintenance system improvements across Preventive, Corrective, Predictive, and Spare Parts domains. Role responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair production equipment across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems. Assist team members and production staff with complex technical challenges. Rebuild components in the parts repair shop to original specifications. Enhance maintenance programs (Preventive, Corrective, Predictive, Spare Parts) for reliability and uptime. Support equipment retrofits and upgrades; help revise/write SOPs and shop repair instructions. Optimize processes to improve quality, throughput, yield, and cost. Assist in executing validation protocols. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Fluent in English (read, write, understand, communicate). Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Work hours:
36-48 hours/week; 6:30 PM EST - 6:30 AM EST (12‑hour rotating night shift: 2 nights on, 2 nights off, every other weekend).

Not Available. Preferred profile Direct machine maintenance experience in a production environment. Track record of troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment.
