shifts are availableWe are seeking a skilled Automation Technician professionals for our industrial facility in a role supporting automated production and automated systems in a modern manufacturing facility by maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems, electrical controls ( via Light PLC and HMI programming), and working with general systems maintenance teams to perform reactive and preventative maintenance as needed and scheduled.

This role works with robotics, electrical controls, and PLC based equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation, and will perform and work on a team of hands on technical professionals, working to problem solve, and contributing to continuous improvement across the plant, by identifying opportunities for long term/strategic operations and production improvements.

Alongside the maintenance team leadership and hands-on teams, your role will be focused on the automated equipment and tools/systems along the production line, and your day to day duties will include the following:

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration and repair on automated machinery, robotics, conveyors, electrical sensors, and electrical control systemsAssist with programming, modifying, and updating PLC logic and HMI interfaces for equipment improvementsDiagnose electrical issues using schematics, multimeters, and diagnostic toolsConduct preventive maintenance on automation equipment to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifeSupport installation, testing, and startup of new automated systems and control componentsMaintain accurate documentation including wiring diagrams, program backups, and maintenance logsCollaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues and optimize performanceIdentify opportunities to improve system reliability, safety, and efficiency through upgrades or process changesWe are looking for those that can bring AS MUCH of the following to the role:
EDUCATION/TRAINING
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate or associate degree in automation, electronics, mechatronics, or related field preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • Seeking those with 3-5 or more, years of hands on experience working with automated equipment, robotics, or industrial control systemsBasic to intermediate knowledge of PLC programming ( Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, HMIs, or similar)
EXPERIENCE AND EXPOSURE TO PLC PROGRAMMING IS
NEEDED, but PLC programming requirements would not be not advanced and we are
NOT LOOKING FOR AN ENGINEERING LEVEL
KNOWLEDGE.Experience with industrial robots such as ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa, etc.
