Now Hiring:
The PLC Maintenance Specialist provides hands‑on technical support to ensure production lines and plant equipment operate safely and efficiently. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving PLCs, control systems, HMIs, and related electrical and automation equipment to maximize uptime and performance.
Pay Range:
$70,000
  • $85,000 yearly (DOE)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follow company policies, safety standards (EHS, OSHA, LOTO, 5S), and maintain compliance with IATF 16949 and
ISO 45001
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and optimize PLCs, control systems, HMIs, motion controllers, and electrical systems
  • Program and modify PLCs (Siemens Step 7, TIA Portal) to improve equipment uptime and performance
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical manuals
  • Analyze downtime, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement to meet KPI goals
  • Document maintenance activities, troubleshooting actions, and participate in pass-down meetings
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to maintenance staff; oversee contractors and support capital projects
  • Ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance and support shutdown/weekend work as needed
  • Prepare reports, track performance metrics (MTBF, MTTR, downtime), and communicate production status across teams
  • Promote a professional, team-oriented work environment and support safety and operational excellence initiatives
Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of PLC or maintenance experience (automotive manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills; experience with automation systems and preventative maintenance
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industrial safety practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;
SAP/VAATZ
experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule with availability for nights, weekends, overtime, and travel as needed
  • Core competencies: teamwork, initiative, adaptability, leadership, root cause analysis, and safety-first mindset
  • Ability to meet physical demands of a manufacturing environment (standing, movement, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs)

Bonus Eligibility:
