You power up the CMMS, scan the overnight alerts, and head straight to the charging room to inspect battery stations and cars. A tug needs a drive-unit check, a stand-up lift calls for a PM within the manufacturer's specs, and a scrubber requires a quick belt change and calibration. Midday, you assist a battery tech with a charger repair and an acid spill clean-up. Later, you lend a hand to the building and refrigeration teams on an electrical troubleshooting task. By day's end, your skill keeps a fleet of forklifts safe, compliant, and ready for the next shift. Role snapshot As an MHE Technician II-equivalent, you'll oversee safe operation, repair, and preventative maintenance of material handling equipment: electric and propane industrial forklifts, pallet jacks, hi‑low lifts, scissor lifts, scrubbers/sweepers, battery charging stations and cars, and batteries. You'll also support the Supervisor and Maintenance Manager so assets are managed in accordance with equipment and parts manufacturers, equipment and parts suppliers, EPA, OSHA, and applicable State and Local Codes. What you'll do Own repairs and reliability for MHE—monitor trends, troubleshoot issues, complete corrective work, and perform preventative maintenance. Execute PMs on time and to spec: oil and filter changes, equipment calibration, belt replacement, inspections, adjustments, lubrication, and more—always per the manufacturer's guidelines. Log time and materials accurately in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Interpret plans, specifications, schematics, and OEM operating/maintenance manuals. Assist battery technicians with charger repairs, battery swaps for MHE, plug/tip repairs, watering/washing batteries, and acid spill clean-up. Partner with building and refrigeration maintenance teams on general building repairs, electrical troubleshooting/repairs, and refrigeration system repair and maintenance. Where you'll work Perishable (Refrigerated): about 28°-60°

Experience entering work orders and PMs into computerized tracking systems. Exposure to Crown, Raymond, and Toyota equipment is a plus. Proficiency in heavy equipment repair; 120/208/240/480 voltage systems; pneumatics troubleshooting; general maintenance and repair; hydraulic systems and components; and basic computer skills.
