Forklift/crane and EPA 608 certification eligibility required. Position Overview This skilled trades role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility infrastructure during first shift to maximize uptime, ensure safety, and support efficient manufacturing operations. Core Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems (PLCs, VFDs, CNC machines) on industrial equipment while using schematics and diagnostic tools.
  • Conducting inspections, alignments, and recalibrations to restore machinery to manufacturer specifications after breakdowns or during preventive maintenance.
  • Operating hand/power tools, welding/cutting equipment, and precision instruments while strictly following lock-out/tag-out, OSHA, NFPA, and arc-flash safety protocols.
  • Maintaining facility systems including HVAC, compressed air, power distribution, plumbing, lighting, and external grounds; clearing snow/ice and making minor repairs as needed.
  • Documenting all work orders accurately in the CMMS, tracking parts, time, and activities; coordinating and inspecting third-party contractors.
  • Responding quickly to breakdowns, emergency repairs, and scheduled maintenance while providing training to team members on safety and equipment procedures.
  • Repairing and maintaining building structures, fabricating basic components, and upholding 5S standards in the maintenance area.
Position Requirements High-school diploma or GED required; associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience or equivalent education/training. Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, familiarity with PLCs/VFDs/hydraulics/pneumatics, and schematic reading ability are essential. Forklift/crane and EPA 608 certifications (training provided) are mandatory. Physical Demands and Work Environment Regular standing, heavy lifting, climbing, and exposure to moving mechanical parts in a moderate-noise manufacturing setting. Occasional off-hours call-ins and overtime required. Reasonable accommodations available.
