About the Role As an Automotive Electronics and Drivability Specialist, you will serve as the primary technical expert for complex vehicle troubleshooting. You will leverage your expertise in electrical systems and computer-based diagnostics to resolve challenging performance issues, ensuring vehicles are returned to peak operating condition with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities Execute advanced diagnostic procedures on both gas and diesel platforms, focusing on electrical, drivability, and communication network faults. Utilize professional-grade scan tools, live data streaming, and oscilloscope waveform analysis to pinpoint root causes of vehicle malfunctions. Perform critical module programming, system resets, coding, and sensor calibrations using both OEM and aftermarket software platforms. Translate complex diagnostic findings into actionable repair plans to support the broader mechanical team. Maintain comprehensive digital documentation of all diagnostic steps and results to ensure transparency and quality control. Continuously refine diagnostic workflows to minimize guesswork and improve first-time fix rates. Qualifications Required Skills Proven track record in automotive diagnostics, specifically regarding electrical circuits and drivability issues. Advanced proficiency with modern scan tools and diagnostic software. Solid mechanical foundation across major vehicle systems and components. Valid driver's license and a commitment to professional work standards. Preferred Skills In-depth knowledge of CAN bus communication protocols and network troubleshooting. Direct experience with ECU module programming and configuration. Expertise in interpreting complex oscilloscope patterns and waveform data. Prior experience working on light or medium-duty diesel engine systems.
