In this role, you will work hands-on with precision measuring instruments and advanced metrology equipment in a professional laboratory environment. What You'll Do As a Calibration Technician II, you will help ensure measuring equipment meets strict quality and accuracy standards by performing calibration and documentation activities in accordance with
ISO/IEC 17025
requirements.
Responsibilities Include:
Calibrate precision measuring tools, gage blocks, and instruments using established procedures and standards Develop and edit basic programs for CMM, Vision, and Form measuring equipment Perform calibration on check standards and laboratory artifacts Maintain calibration records and complete certification documentation Prepare customer instruments and tools for return shipment Support
ISO/IEC 17025
laboratory accreditation activities Assist in training and supporting other calibration technicians Calibrate incoming Field Service gages and maintain related records Review historical calibration data to analyze measurement stability and trends What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 3-5 years of calibration, metrology, or laboratory experience Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred Technical Experience Experience working with any of the following equipment is a plus: Gage Block Comparator Universal Length Measuring Equipment (ULM) Optical Comparator Surface Tester Calibration Tester Roundness Machine Quick Vision (QV) Machine Other metrology or calibration laboratory equipment Additional technical training or certifications are also valued. Skills That Will Help You Succeed We're looking for someone who is: Detail-oriented and quality-focused Technically skilled and eager to learn Organized and self-motivated Customer-focused with strong communication skills Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Work Environment Professional calibration laboratory environment PPE required while working in the lab (lab coat, gloves, booties) Occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals such as denatured alcohol Schedule Full-Time Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM No travel required Why Work at Mitutoyo America Corporation?
