job summary: Our client, a leader in interconnect solutions, is looking for an Automation Technician. Key qualifications include experience with electronic assembly (schematics, PCB loading, and mechanical assembly) as well as material handling, automation, and/or robotics equipment. A high school diploma or relevant experience is required.

Buffalo Grove, Illinois job type: Permanent salary: $55,000 - 72,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: High School responsibilities:
System Maintenance & Calibration:
Perform regular preventative maintenance, scheduled calibrations, and re-qualifications on complex automated, robotic, and process support equipment to ensure continuous operation.
Advanced Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnose, isolate, and repair malfunctions across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, fixing component parts and circuitry in the most cost-effective manner.
Technical Documentation & Analysis:
Read and interpret intricate electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams while analyzing and implementing corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms.
Engineering Collaboration:
Assist engineers and technicians with equipment installation/removal, software and hardware maintenance, and the development of test, calibration, and evaluation plans.
System Qualification & Development:
Collaborate with the automation team during the system qualification process and help design the hardware and software solutions required for automation specifications.
