Principal Electro-Mechanical Systems Technician ATS

72 an hour Build reliability that lasts Join ATS as a technical leader who turns complex problems into lasting solutions. You will elevate asset performance, mentor teammates, and embed continuous improvement across the plant. Impact you'll make Lead advanced maintenance: perform expert diagnostics and repairs across electro-mechanical systems; adjust/calibrate controls; test and verify with electrical and mechanical instrumentation.
Perform overhauls:
dismantle equipment, inspect components for defects, recondition machine tools, and restore to spec.
Engineer reliability:
select parts and supplies that reduce lifecycle cost and improve uptime; refine PMs with the Planner/Scheduler.
Fabricate on demand:
operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking equipment; perform welding as necessary. Advance CI and 5
S:
drive housekeeping excellence and deliver measurable CI outcomes using recognized methods and tools.
Guide others:
train and support junior technicians; provide technical leadership to project teams; pursue ongoing OJT and self-study.
Master controls:
troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and configuration issues in complex control architectures.
Predict and prevent:
deploy predictive maintenance technologies, analyze trends, and recommend proactive actions.
Document and analyze:
maintain accurate CMMS records and mine history for data-driven decisions. Safety first, always: adhere to all policies and demonstrate strong situational awareness to identify and correct unsafe conditions. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree with technical concentration and 5+ years related industry experience; or 7+ years directly relevant experience. Proven experience with predictive methods, precision alignments, and process-equipment maintenance. Broad knowledge of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems; able to diagnose issues, devise alternatives, and execute repairs. Proficiency using basic hand tools and specialized instruments. Experience in vibration analysis or laser interferometer operations. Ability to travel when required. Work conditions Standing and walking most of the day; frequent manual dexterity; climbing and balancing at height with ladder or lift; work in confined spaces; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; effective verbal/hearing communication. Occasional sitting. Lift/move 50+ lbs periodically. Regular close and color vision. Possible outdoor exposure and electrical shock risk. Typical factory environment—very loud—with potential exposure to hazardous substances and greasy/slippery floors. Compensation and benefits Hourly pay range: $33.42—$42.75 USD. Actual pay considers education, training, experience, achievement, business needs, and location.
