Job DescriptionSchedule, conduct and maintain calibration/qualification and preventative maintenance programs and execution of all laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance according to guidelines and procedures. Evaluate new calibration methods and procedures. Use statistics to analyze measurement standards and process.
Ensure all equipment is calibrated, qualified according to SOPsLabel equipment with the latest calibration/maintenance labels;Troubleshoot instrumentation issuesTechnical knowledge of repairs for laboratory instrumentsParticipate in new instrument requirement determination activities.
Develop instrument qualification documents including but not limited to:
IQ, OQ and PQ ProtocolsMaintain calibration and preventative maintenance schedule.
Develop and formalize calibration procedures ensuring all laboratory instruments have calibration SOPs.
Perform calibration testing in accordance with these procedures.
Perform preventative maintenance on analytical instruments.
Monitor maintenance status of individual instruments and coordinate with external service technicians as required.
QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology or related biological science or equivalent in job experience.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant pharmaceutical lab experience with emphasis on instrumental methods are a must for this position.
Prior technical experience in a bio/chemistry related role would be preferred.
Experience working in a regulated Laboratory environment or Pharmaceutical company, but also with implementation and support experience with laboratory instrumentation.
Ability to interpret, analyze data and draw logical conclusions required.
Ability to troubleshoot analytical problems as needed to minimize down time.
A willingness to review new analytical records, instrumentation and procedures.
