Employee-owned System Scale is seeking an experienced Calibration Technician based out of our Evansville, IN area. This position is responsible for the knowledge of all aspects of our measuring department including calibrating equipment and quality procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Calibrate measurement and test equipment in one or more of the following disciplines: Dimensional, Mass, Mechanical, Optical, Temperature, and Electronics. Maintain secondary and/or working calibration standards. Perform basic maintenance of precision equipment. Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration. Identify and correct measurement errors as applicable. Collaborate with other technicians, customer service reps, sales reps, and customers. Manage inbound and outbound communications as required for job: email, voicemail, customer calls, conference calls. Other duties as assigned.
Travel requirement:
up to 50% of work schedule.
Knowledge, Skills, Attitude:
Must be organized, efficient, and detail-oriented. Able to handle a fast paced, multi-task work environment while maintaining a professional attitude. Innovative and effective problem-solver. Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening. Ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines. Works well alone or as part of a team. Must have a positive attitude in line with our core values.
Education and Experience:
Recommended:
Associates degree from college or technical school;calibration related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred:
Commercial calibration experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including, Word, Excel, and Outlook Advanced organizational and time management skills Experience in
PMEL, PME, TMDE, METCAL, GCAMS, or Avionics, Calibration, Metrology or Electronics Background:
