Job Description
Coffee Service Pros LLC — Fort Wayne Region You are the person who figures it out. You have taken things apart just to understand how they work. You have replaced an outlet, fixed a faucet, repaired something around the house, worked on equipment, or solved a problem most people would have ignored. When you get stuck, you do not wait around for someone to hand you the answer. You look for the manual. You watch the videos and read the how-to's. You pull up the wiring diagram. You search for the parts breakdown. You test, verify, and keep working until the problem makes sense and you have the right solution. That is the kind of person we are looking for. Coffee Service Pros is hiring a Commercial Coffee Equipment Service Technician to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot espresso machines, coffee brewers, cold brew systems, nitro systems, grinders, water filtration systems, and other commercial beverage equipment. This is not a job for someone who wants to coast. This is a skilled trade. You will be expected to think, communicate, learn, and take pride in your work. What the role actually looks like: You will complete service calls at commercial coffee accounts throughout the region (Fort Wayne, South Bend, Indianapolis, South Michigan, and North West Ohio). On a normal day, you may be diagnosing an espresso machine, repairing a brewer, identifying a water flow issue, replacing a valve, tracing an electrical fault, or explaining a repair to a customer.
Your work will include:
Using a multimeter to test voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity Reading electrical, hydraulic, and parts diagrams Troubleshooting water flow, heating, pressure, refrigeration, and dispensing issues Identifying fittings, plumbing thread sizes, outlet types, and machine connections Disassembling and reassembling equipment carefully and correctly Looking up part numbers using manufacturer manuals and parts diagrams Writing clear, professional service notes after every job Managing tickets, time, photos, and job details through Service Fusion Communicating findings clearly to customers in plain language Completing preventive maintenance work with consistency and attention to detail Verifying machine operation after repairs, including beverage quality when applicable We will train you on the specific machines, systems, and standards we service. But you need to bring mechanical ability, problem-solving skills, personal responsibility, and the willingness to learn.
What we expect from you:
You do not need to have years of commercial coffee equipment experience. However, you should not be picking up tools or a multimeter for the first time on your first service call. A strong candidate may have experience with: Electrical work Plumbing repairs Appliance repair HVAC Refrigeration Automotive repair Equipment maintenance Home repair projects Mechanical troubleshooting Military technical work Facility maintenance You must be able to: Show up on time and ready to work Communicate professionally with customers and the team Write complete, accurate, professional service notes Follow processes without cutting corners Work independently after training Stay calm when troubleshooting difficult problems Lift up to 75 lbs Use a smartphone and digital service platform Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record Receive parts deliveries at a secure address when needed What makes Coffee Service Pros different We are building this company the right way. Our technicians are not thrown into the field without support. We provide training, documentation, dispatch support, scheduling support, parts support, and back-office systems so you can focus on becoming excellent at the trade. We care about clean work, accurate diagnosis, honest communication, and doing the job correctly the first time. Our customers depend on their equipment to run their business. When their machine is down, it matters. Your work matters. You will be expected to take ownership, but you will not be expected to know everything on day one. We want someone who is coachable, resourceful, and serious about becoming highly skilled.
What success looks like:
At 30 days: You are learning our systems, documenting your work properly, following the process, and building accurate diagnostic habits. Speed is not the priority yet. Getting it right is. At 60 days: You are handling calls more independently, making fewer mistakes, communicating well, and showing that you can troubleshoot instead of guess. At 90 days: You are becoming efficient in the field, completing common repairs confidently, managing your time well, and representing Coffee Service Pros professionally with customers. Compensation and benefits $20-$25 per hour based on experience, certifications, and demonstrated ability Expected hours: 30-60 per week Company vehicle after completion of training and demonstrated readiness Career growth in a skilled, in-demand trade Hands-on technical training Supportive team environment Military friendly Equal opportunity employer Who should apply Apply if you are mechanically inclined, dependable, teachable, and serious about building a real skill. Do not apply if you are only looking for a temporary job, do not like using tools, avoid documentation, or need someone watching over you all day to stay productive. Coffee Service Pros is looking for technicians who want to become excellent — not just employees who want to punch a clock.
