Maintenance Specialist - Mays 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Greenwood, IN Full-time Ravago Americas 149 reviews Full-time Purpose Provide essential maintenance support for all equipment, the facility and plant operations to ensure established targets are met for Quality, Safety, Performance, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Actively support and encourage continuous improvement. Areas of Responsibility / Tasks a. Practices the principals of food safety, quality, and continuous improvement under the GFSI guidelines. b. Maintain the safe and good working condition of all equipment, building, and plant operations. c. Execute, plan, and organize necessary repairs and tasks. d. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance to maximize equipment uptime. e. Manage, maintain, and improve the Preventative Maintenance System (PMS). f. Perform preventive maintenance and implement necessary engineering changes to equipment. g. Diagnose, repair, and replace parts; test and make adjustments using a range of skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. h. Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematic diagrams, and work orders. i. Manage the critical spare parts inventory, predict part needs, and communicate orders/deliveries to minimize downtime. j. Assist with the installation of new and existing equipment. k. Collaborate with external contractors, vendors, suppliers, and machine shops. l. Adhere strictly to all Quality, Safety and Environmental Procedures. m. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications 1. Must have High School diploma or equivalent. 2. Completion of a vocational school Industrial Maintenance program or have five plus years of industrial maintenance work experience. 3. Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. 4. Ability to operate a fork truck. 5. Must possess excellent interpersonal, people management and problem solving skills. 6. Ability to read, speak and write English efficiently preferred. 7. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. 8. Detail oriented and ability to prioritize. 9. Ability to multi-task. 10. Preferred if skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word. Competencies; Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA) 1. Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office. 2. Must be comfortable working in a non-climate controlled environment. 3. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice. 4. All injuries regardless of severity must be reported to your Supervisor/HR immediately.
