Job Description

Skillforce is currently seeking an experienced Die Casting Maintenance Techs to support operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment near Milwaukee, WI. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery to ensure maximum uptime, efficiency, and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical skills and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance. Shift Options /
Schedule:
6-7 days per week / 8hrs worked per day minimum / 50+ hours per week 1 st Shift 2 nd Shift 3 rd Shift Travel & Per Diem Ability to travel home every two weeks or as needed Per diem of $200/day for all seven days while traveling ($1,400 weekly) When traveling, your time is compensated at your regular hourly rate If traveling by personal vehicle, mileage will be reimbursed at $0.70 per mile If traveling by air, the flight will be provided, with reimbursement for rental car and fuel
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment including CNC machines, robotic systems, conveyors, and automated machinery Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime Work with production teams to identify recurring equipment issues and implement long-term solutions
Diagnostics & Testing:
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify electrical and mechanical malfunctions Conduct routine testing of machinery components to ensure proper operation and reliability
Repair & Replacement:
Repair or replace defective electrical and mechanical components using hand and power tools Coordinate ordering and replacement of parts to reduce production interruptions
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage Assist in developing and improving maintenance procedures and documentation
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in an automotive or manufacturing environment Prior die cast and CNC experience required Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues effectively Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Experience using diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment Strong attention to safety, detail, and quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance needs
