Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield. Identifies and properly reports through the work order system all potential and existing problems encountered. May track and distribute equipment throughout the hospitals. Performs other related duties as assigned. High School Diploma or GED required.
- Requires a working knowledge of electricity and is able to diagnose and repair electrical problems.
- Requires ability to read and interpret information from blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
- Requires current knowledge of various federal, state, local, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and Joint Commission codes and regulations.
- Requires a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Requires familiarity with troubleshooting techniques, inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Requires familiarity with basic hand and machine tools, soldering, designated preventive maintenance and other test equipment.
