Instrumentation Technical Specialist (Pharmaceutical Projects)

Our teams are driven by innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. We are looking for an Instrumentation Technical Specialist to support capital projects in Indianapolis, IN. This position plays an important part in the successful coordination, procurement, and delivery of process instrumentation. Position Overview The Instrumentation Technical Specialist manages instrumentation logistics from procurement through delivery and documentation. This position ensures materials are accurately tracked, properly handled, and aligned with project schedules to support efficient execution of capital projects. Key Responsibilities Support project management in planning and executing capital projects, with ownership of procurement coordination and ERP system activities Create and manage purchase orders within ERP systems (such as NetSuite), ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timelines Work with vendors to confirm order status, manage delivery schedules, and resolve discrepancies Collaborate with project teams to define required-on-site dates and align procurement plans accordingly Coordinate with warehouse personnel on receiving, storage, and delivery of instrumentation Track material status against project schedules and support schedule adherence Provide reporting on procurement status, delivery timelines, and material readiness Identify and escalate risks related to lead times, delivery delays, and supplier performance Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor documentation, and turnover materials Participate in project meetings to communicate material status and delivery risks Support project setup, purchase order reconciliation, and closeout documentation Manage multiple projects with a high level of organization and attention to detail Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industries Familiarity with FDA-regulated environments is preferred Working knowledge of process instrumentation, including: Flow, pressure, temperature, and level sensors Valves and related accessories Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar) Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments Compensation & Benefits PACIV offers a competitive compensation package along with comprehensive benefits Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and company holidays Healthcare coverage with 90 percent of premiums paid by the company Health Savings Account (HSA) with company contributions 401(k) retirement plan with company match up to 4 percent and immediate vesting Additional Information This position is direct hire only.
